Funny, I became aware of it a few weeks ago but also haven't tried it out. I'd be curious to hear from someone who has used it to get a comparative view - especially if it stacks up against the pay versions of VS (otherwise why bother if the express versions give you the same functionality).

It would be interesting to see the source code too -- I'm sure there's a few tricks that could be useful there.

No, and unfortunately I'm unlikely to as I, by policy, am strictly an MS user. I'm not without issues on that because I see Microsoft as becoming less technical by the day.
