I'm curious what the response over there is to the attempt of American football to gain visibility? Of course the NFL says its a huge success but they are, obviously, "invested" in the idea of success.
I'm really not a big Am footbal fan, but our team, the New England Patriots, played at Wembley last weekend to a full house (40,000 people I believe). So what's the real story over there?
It had a bit of a spell but it died a few years ago..... it's just amateur teams now who don't get much coverage in any media form.
If the american teams came here they would get a good crowd.
American football is a little boring, it's a bit start stop for us (probably so they can show as many Pepsi adverts as possible). It can take a team 15 minutes to run 3 yards... yawn!
